A Three-Week Rosé Festival Has Popped Up In Covent Garden

Covent Garden is throwing a three-week rosé festival to celebrate the return of indoor dining.

With summer around the corner, rosé season upon us, and indoor dining back in business, we’ve got a brilliant few weeks ahead of us. The folks at Covent Garden are just as excited, so they’ve decided to throw a three-week rosé festival on their Piazza, coinciding with step 3 of lockdown easing and indoor service resuming.

The celebrations include interactive pop ups, music, flower stalls, and more. But let’s get straight to the nitty-gritty here: the rosé. Obviously you can expect lots of it, with eight pop-up bars and drink trucks offering over 30 varieties of ice-cold rosé cocktails, pretty pink frosés, canned rosé bubbles, rose petal infused prosecco, rosé spritzers, sparkling rosés, rosé cider, and pretty much every other rosé concoction you could come up with.

Of course there’ll be some good food as well, and participation from several of the local restaurants. Ladurée are hosting a rosé-inspired afternoon tea, Shake Shack are serving up a limited edition cherry blossom pink shake, and Amorino are bringing back their very Instagrammable rose-shaped ice-creams, to name only a few specials from rosé-themed menus available for the duration of the festival.

Furthermore, you can expect to find flower installations, special skincare products and goodies in surrounding shops, and more rosé-inspired surprises all around. The reopening of over 2,500 additional Covent Garden dining spots across restaurants such as Balthazar, Clos Maggiore, Cinnamon Bazaar, and RedFarm, is even more reason to celebrate. They will be joining over 800 al fresco seats already set up, and outdoor dining pop-ups already taking place throughout the neighbourhood.

The Covent Garden Rosé Festival will run from May 17 to June 6. Find more information regarding opening times, and other things going on in Covent Garden here.
