Art, Cocktails and Caribbean Flavours at LIMIN SOUTHBANK with a New Exhibition by D’Arcy: 8th – 10th August

Looking for something fun to do along the South Bank this summer? From August 8th – 10th, head to LIMIN SOUTHBANK for a unique blend of contemporary art, Caribbean food and beachside drinks as British-Trinidadian artist D’Arcy takes over the gallery space with an atmospheric new sustainable solo exhibition.

Set against the backdrop of LIMIN’s colourful venue, just a few steps from the Thames, this free exhibition offers a perfect cultural stop during a day out in London. Think art meets island vibes with rum punch, and Caribbean dishes, surrounded by D’Arcy’s tactile, touch-led landscapes crafted from reclaimed, recycled and natural
materials.

Sallion, a visually impaired artist, invites visitors to slow down and reconnect with the physical world through art that you feel as much as you see. Drawing inspiration from trekking expeditions across the UK’s most beautiful natural terrain, from Cornwall to the Lake District, and infused with echoes of their Caribbean heritage, D’Arcy’s work bridges land, memory and material. LIMIN SOUTHBANK, with its Trinidadian roots, offers the perfect setting for this deeply personal and grounding exhibition.

Discussing the exhibition, D’Arcy said: “Art is my way of reconnecting with nature, myself and with people. I want visitors to see the value in what we often discard, and to feel something real in a world that’s increasingly digital.”

Whether you’re a Londoner planning a weekend wander with a slice of Caribbean life, or a visitor hunting for local gems, this exhibition offers an escape into something quieter, reflective and a little bit surreal, all while enjoying one of the capital’s most vibrant outdoor settings.
