“The hot, young comedy act you promised yourself” **** (GetYourCoatsOn)
The Barrel’s trademark ‘69 sketches an hour’ format runs into chaos, when the long-neglected biscuits of their namesake start invading the show. Having been denounced by his peers as ‘the most boring biscuit’, Rich-T defers from the variety pack and breaks into the production, adamant to find a way of proving them wrong.
Lead by Captain J. Dodger, the pack pursue the renegade biscuit, disrupting several sketches in the process. Whether its interrogating fortune cookies, disgruntled self-checkout machines, or a slapstick routine told through the medium of beatbox, there’s many sketches waiting inside this Barrel.
“The hit-rate of their sketches is high” (List)
‘The audience HOWLED with laughter’ ***** (Theatre & Art Reviews)
“Top of the Barrel” (Bristol Post)
“The Biscuit Barrel entertained and delighted a packed-out Rialto.’ (The Brighton Seagull)
