Chestertons Polo in the Park is an annual three-day polo tournament that takes place 5-7th June at Hurlingham Park, Fulham. The round-robin style tournament is played under the HPA-endorsed City Polo rules, developed to maximise spectator enjoyment – effectively the ‘Twenty20’ of polo. The event is now in its 15th year and is the largest polo tournament in Europe. It hosts an international polo match that features England Polo as well as teams from around the world competing for the Olympic Trophy.
Beyond the polo, Chestertons Polo in the Park offers a luxury shopping village, Fulham Food Festival, pitch-side parties, and family entertainment, including London’s ‘biggest kids party’.
For the third-year running, the Official Apparel and Jersey Partner for Chestertons Polo in the Park is U.S. Polo Assn. The multi-billion-dollar, global sports brand offers apparel and accessories for men, women, and children in the U.K. and spanning 190 countries.
Chestertons Polo in the Park is owned and managed by Sportgate International, an international event management and sports marketing agency. Founded in 2014 by a team of experienced sports marketing professionals, Sportgate International now owns events and consults to companies and rights holders who require sponsorship and event management expertise.
In terms of the layout of each day, Friday is led by the International match between England and South Africa, with the day being tailored for clients, colleagues, friends, and Friday socials.
Saturday is positioned as Ladies Day, combining world class polo with chic fashion, as the general tournament heats up. Teams for this event are also in the final stage of being confirmed but will be positioned around major cities and sponsors.
Sunday is not only Finals Day but family day, so there will still be world class polo on offer but with family fun and activities alongside this, offering something for everyone. The day will include a pitch invasion, Knights of Middle England jousting performance, and a range of activities from Hertfordshire Polo Academy, Mavericks Netball and more.
Overall this is an event which offers something different for all audiences attending on each day, and really acts as a kick off for the London summer.
