World Sanguine Report, Matthew Bourne, Seaming To

24 February @ 8:00 pm - 11:30 pm

£10 – £13

limitedNOISE presents an evening of intimate magic-realist song, solo improvised harmonium, avant-ballads and experimental music.

Andrew Plummer – voice, elec. guitar

Matthew Bourne – harmonium

Ruth Goller – elec. bass, voice

Will Glaser – drum kit

The new iteration of avant-rock band, World Sanguine Report – Plummer’s bruised vocals and darkly-enthralling lyrics, alongside Goller’s voice are enveloped  in a tide of swirling tones, textures and rhythms from accompanying guitars, bass and drums. In often stark arrangement, World Sanguine Report revel on a journey through songs from a dark side of life and love. Tonight performing material from their forthcoming new album “Songs From The Harbour”.

Matthew Bourne – harmonium

With a reputation as a fearlessly unpredictable pianist and composer, Matthew Bourne is a passionate explorer of sound, possessed of a burning desire to make music on anything old, broken or infirm. Returning to New River Studios, this is a rare opportunity to hear Bourne perform a solo harmonium set, improvising from the end of Seaming To’s set into World Sanguine Report’s.

Seaming To – electronics, voice, clarinet

Composer, vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Seaming To has been described as ‘the voice of a 21st Century’ (Radio1), and an artist that is truly ‘avant garde’ (Robert Wyatt). Her experimental ethos has led to her working with some of the most respected and radical artists of the last two decades, particularly in electronic, classical and experimental genres. She will be performing songs from her EP Natural Process (Lo Recordings) as well as her most recent release Dust Gatherers (OSingAtMe)
