Head To Hackney Bridge To Catch A Summer Of Sports On The Outdoor Screen

Add this one to the list of must-go venues for sporting cheer as you enjoy an absolutely sports-packed summer. Hackney Bridge is getting in on the outdoor screenings game by installing an outdoor screen bigger than my living room for patrons to enjoy. Patrons of Hackney Bridge, that is, not my living room. The canalside multi-use community space will prove to be one of the places to be this summer. It’s perfect for relaxing and hanging out with friends all whilst keeping an eye on all the action.

The UEFA Women’s EURO will be shown on the massive outdoor screen, with plans to show the Commonwealth Games as well. They’re also eagerly looking forward to September and the Anthony Joshua and Oleksandr Usyk Unified World Heavyweight rematch. On-site food and drink vendors will keep you fed and hydrated no matter what you’re craving. They’ve got crisp refreshing pints, gyoza, bao buns, pizza, and more. The Hackney Bridge food hall is full of choices from around the world, and with multiple bars you’re never waiting long for your next drink.

As well plenty of sports, there will also be movies playing on the outdoor screen as the summer progresses. Don’t miss the August screening of Grease, where the movie’s songs will be accompanied live by the Babel Brass Band. Does that mean a tuba-tinged rendition of Greased Lightning? Time will only tell. We’ve got our fingers crossed though.

Head to the website to check out the screening schedule for the Hackney Bridge outdoor screen, and find out what else is on.
