Well, this is cheeky… as of today (August 1), Nando’s has added frozen cocktails to its menu. Perfect for when you’ve overdone it on the Extra Extra Hot PERi-PERi. (Next time we’re ordering Lemon & Herb!) Because while the summer might not be what we all expected, these new ice-cold cocktails should bring a little bit of sunshine into your life.
There are two flavours to try out, both seemingly a perfect combination to go with iconic PERi-PERi flavours, the PERi-cante and the Sunset Slushie. PERi-cante, an obvious nod to picante cocktails, mixes vodka, mezcal, tangy lime and chilli – the perfect match for those that prefer their Nando chicken on the spicier side.
For those with more sensitive tongues, then the Sunset Slushie is sure to be up your street. More of a refreshing summertime cocktail with bold fruity flavours, one sip will send your straight to the Bahamas. It mixes vodka, peach liquor and vanilla with juicy pineapple and mango.
Unfortunately, not everywhere is going to be able to get their hands on Nandos’ new frozen cocktails. In London, these include Kings Cross, Westfield Stratford City, Battersea and Waterloo Station. While further afield you’ll find them in Manchester (Salford Quays), Brighton (Marina), Crawley, Liverpool (ONE), Hull (Princess Quay), Birmingham (Selly Oak) and Wolverhampton (Bentley Bridge).
If you’re lucky enough to live close to one of these locations, then we suggest you don’t sleep on the offer. These refreshing drinks are only being trialled, so they may not hang around on the menus forever. But if prove to be a big hit with customers, expect to see these refreshing frozen cocktails start appearing in Nando’s up and down the country.
